Key Features & Benefits

⚡ Self-Adjusting Mechanism

These electric trailer brakes automatically maintain optimal shoe-to-drum clearance as you drive—eliminating the need for frequent manual adjustments. Also known as "Nev-R-Adjust" style on some OEM models.

💪 High Load Capacity

Rated for 7,000 lb axles, making these brakes ideal for:

  • Enclosed cargo trailers
  • Car haulers and equipment trailers
  • Dump trailers
  • RV trailers and toy haulers
  • Utility trailers
  • Flatbed trailers

🔧 Standard 5-Bolt Mounting

Industry-standard 5-hole flange pattern fits most OEM trailer axle setups. Simple bolt-on replacement.

🛡️ Durable Construction

  • E-coated backing plate resists corrosion
  • Premium friction material for long pad life
  • Heavy-duty magnet and springs

🔌 Easy Wiring

Magnet wires can be grounded or wired to positive—compatible with all standard trailer brake controllers.

📦 Flexible Ordering

Available as left side (driver), right side (passenger), or complete pair.

Installation Guide

  1. Mount the brake to your 5-bolt trailer axle flange and torque to manufacturer specifications (typically 50-75 ft-lbs).

  2. Connect electrical wiring – attach magnet leads to your trailer's brake wiring (ground or positive configuration).

  3. Break-in procedure – After installation, perform a burnishing cycle: make 20-30 gradual brake applications while driving to properly seat the new friction shoes.

  4. Verify function – Confirm the self-adjuster is operating properly to extend brake life.

Why Choose Self-Adjusting Electric Trailer Brakes?

Heavy-duty trailers put serious stress on brake components. Here's why self-adjusting trailer brakes are the smart investment:

  • Consistent stopping power on every tow
  • Reduced maintenance – no manual adjustment needed
  • Extended brake life through automatic adjustment
  • Safer towing – proper adjustment prevents brake fade and pull
  • Compatible with all brake controllers – electric or hydraulic
  • Same as OEM – quality replacement at a better price

Common Applications

These 12" x 2" electric trailer brakes are perfect for:

  • Enclosed cargo trailers (7,000 lb GVWR)
  • Car haulers and auto transport trailers
  • Dump trailers
  • RV trailers and toy haulers
  • Equipment trailers
  • Utility trailers
  • Flatbed trailers
  • Landscape trailers
