The CURT 51180 Echo™ Wireless Trailer Brake Controller brings trailer brake control into the modern age with a fully portable, smartphone-controlled design. Instead of mounting a controller inside the cab, the Echo plugs directly into your vehicle’s 7-way RV blade connector and wirelessly connects to your smartphone using Bluetooth.
Designed to control 2 to 4 electric trailer brakes (1–2 axles), the Echo uses a triple-axis motion-sensing accelerometer to deliver smooth, responsive braking that adapts to real-world driving conditions. The intuitive CURT Echo app—available for Apple iOS and Android—allows you to adjust brake power, monitor braking activity, receive status alerts, and store multiple vehicle and trailer profiles, making it ideal for shared vehicles, multi-trailer setups, and commercial fleets.
Installation is completely non-invasive and plug-and-play, requiring no wiring or dash mounting. The Echo installs inline between the vehicle and trailer plugs and features automatic calibration, eliminating complex setup.
