We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. This is a complete, self-adjusting 12" x 2" electric drum brake built for 7,000 lb trailer axles, with a standard 5-bolt flange that direct-replaces the factory brake on Dexter, Lippert (LCI), and AL-KO axles. Available in left hand (driver side), right hand (passenger side), or as a pair.
Key Features
- Forward self-adjusting (sometimes called "Nev-R-Adjust" on OEM parts) — maintains shoe-to-drum clearance automatically
- E-coated backing plate for corrosion resistance, plus premium friction shoes and a heavy-duty magnet and springs
- Standard 5-bolt mounting — fits most OEM 7K trailer axle setups
- Magnet wires can be grounded or wired to positive — works with any standard trailer brake controller
Fitment
Built for 7,000 lb axle systems on enclosed cargo trailers, car haulers, dump trailers, RVs and toy haulers, equipment and utility trailers, and flatbeds. Direct replacement for Dexter, Lippert (LCI), and AL-KO axles using a standard 5-bolt flange.

Self-Adjusting vs. Manual Adjust
A self-adjusting brake like this one resets its own shoe clearance as you drive, so braking stays consistent without a service stop every 3–6 months the way manual-adjust brakes need. It costs a little more upfront; most owners make that back in fewer shop visits over the life of the trailer.
Installation
- Mount to the 5-bolt axle flange and torque to spec (typically 50–75 ft-lbs)
- Connect the magnet leads to your trailer's brake wiring (ground or positive)
- Burnish the new shoes with 20–30 gradual brake applications after install
- Verify the self-adjuster is functioning to get the full service life out of it
