The Spectrum uses a separate hidden main module and a compact dash-mounted rotary knob, giving the cab a clean OEM-style appearance while still providing precise brake control for trailers with electric brakes.
Unlike traditional box-style brake controllers, the CURT Spectrum keeps the main control module mounted out of sight behind the dash. The visible control is a low-profile rotary knob with a push-button center and a 10-bar tri-color LED indicator. This allows the driver to adjust brake output, monitor braking activity, and access manual override while keeping the dash professional and uncluttered.
This controller uses a triple-axis accelerometer to detect vehicle movement and apply trailer brakes in proportion to the tow vehicle’s braking.
